APSI program of research
The APSI program of research is a multi-disciplinary program with the overarching aim of preventing poisonings and improving the care of poisoned patients.
Our Objectives
The APSI program of research has the following overall research objectives:
- Characterise poisoning epidemiology in Australia
- Identify emerging trends and new substances involved in poisoning cases
- Evaluate the effect of public health, legislative and clinical practice interventions on poisoning rates
- Facilitate access to the dataset for research purposes, to better inform policy and practice.
